Dear Parents –

Thanks for visiting P.S. 101Q’s P.A. Website!

We’re having a great year. Our monthly events have truly been successful as evidenced by lots of smiles on our children’s faces.

This year we are happy to report that we have been able to purchase 2 Smartboards for the school. We’ve also purchased a cpu for the school rotunda so that pictures of school events can be displayed in the entryway. We’ve tried to help beautify the building by displaying flower arrangements in the front office, rotunda, and auditorium, and we will soon purchase 3 planters for the entrance to the school, helping to make that area safer for the children. We will also soon be purchasing a projector for the gym program so that our children can “wii” in gym class. We are currently looking at a projection upgrade for the auditorium to hopefully complete this year. We’ve also upgraded our computers in the P.A. Office so that we can better handle a vital After School Program run by parent volunteers and various other programs (e.g. Box Tops, Planners, Fall Fundraiser, School Pictures, Book Fair, Mother-Son and Father-Daughter Dances, School Performances, Fieldtrips, and more).

We continue to pursue the 501© 3 status, and have found that it takes much longer than one would think to make it come to fruition. Under the direction of a parent volunteer, we continue to make progress.

Parents continue to stay active with regard to academics through the School Leadership Team, and our notes should be available on the school website (click here) for review on a monthly basis. Most important, we are working with our new principal to take our school to new heights.

We look forward to hearing your feedback, and love to see that “old” and “new” parents have found their way to all of our events to help make our school a wonderful place for our students!
