From the P.A.
President
Welcome
everyone!
I am excited at the opportunity to be your
PA President this year!
My involvement in the PA began two years
ago, and my love for this school has made me
become more involved as time goes on.
As a team, the Parents’ Association works
tirelessly to ensure that our children
receive a great education in a fun and
nurturing environment. Our principal and
staff are dedicated to enhancing our
children’s school experience, and we support
them in and out-of-the classroom.
Our first role as parents is, of course, our
children. And the more involved we are, the
more influence we have in creating a great
educational experience for them. There is no
greater reward than seeing a smile on a
child’s face as a result of our efforts!
The PA Meetings are a place where parents
come together to plan events and
initiatives, talk about issues, and often
talk with our principal as a group.
Your participation on the PA as a Committee
Chair, a Committee Volunteer, a School
Leadership Team Member, or a PA Board Member
allows you to get to know the staff at the
school, and become more knowledgeable about
how are school operates. It gives you an
opportunity to work in partnership with the
school administration to make our school
unique.
So this year as in the past, we welcome and
encourage you to join in the PA’s
activities.
As with all PA's, one of our major
objectives is to raise money so that we can
support our school. Our dollars go to many
programs and support initiatives that will
become more familiar to you in the coming
months.
We ask for your generous donations so that
we can supplement our school’s evolving
needs whether supplemental funds are
earmarked for books, furniture, capital
improvements, professional development,
computers, field trips, in-school
performances, or other school needs.
The degree of success of any parents’
association depends on the level of
commitment of its members. So join us for “a
cup of coffee and a chat” at the PA
Meetings. Let’s make this the best school
community we can!
See you at the PA Meetings!
